Today, we said goodbye to one of the OGs of House of Paws—sweet, spunky, grass-loving Cosmo.

Cosmo wasn’t just a walking client—he was family. One of our very first pups, he helped us get HoP off the ground (sometimes literally, with how fast he’d trot ahead!). Over the last five years, he brought endless joy, quirky charm, and so much personality to our days.

One of the hardest parts of what we do is getting attached to pets who aren’t technically ours. But because we get to be part of so many lives, it seems to happen more often than most people experience—and it never gets easier. Cosmo was one of those souls who wrapped himself around our hearts from day one.

Whether he was battling the beagles in a howling match, herding anything that dared move, or pouncing like a puppy when we showed up, Cosmo left paw prints on all of our hearts. 🐾❤️‍🩹

He may have had a rough start to life, but with his amazing family, he lived like royalty—and we were lucky enough to be part of his kingdom.

Run free, Cosmo. Go herd the clouds and dig to your heart’s content. Your spirit will be with us on every walk, trotting right alongside your sister Sox and all the pups you helped pave the way for. ✨
