Ever wonder what it’s like to be a professional pup pal, kitty whisperer, and all-around pet hero in St. Louis?

At House of Paws Pet Care, a top-rated dog walking & pet sitting service in St. Louis, our team isn’t just leash-holders—they’re lifelines for busy pet parents and their furry companions.

Today, we’re giving you a peek behind the leash at what a typical day looks like for one of our professional pet care providers in St. Louis. Spoiler: it involves a lot of tail wags, happy zoomies, and the occasional squirrel chase! 🐿️

8:00 AM – Rise and Shine

Our walkers kick off the day by checking their schedule in our pet care app. Each visit includes notes from pet parents—like feeding details, favorite walking spots, and personality quirks.

St. Louis pet care is anything but one-size-fits-all—our clients range from Dalmatians in Dogtown to senior cats in Soulard!

9:00 AM – First Walk: Max in the Central West End

Max is a senior Lab who insists on visiting the same tree every morning. We refresh his water, give him his meds (hello, cheese trick), and upload a photo and update for his family using our GPS-tracked software.

11:00 AM – Puppy Visit in Tower Grove

Next up is Luna, a bouncy Goldendoodle. We mix potty breaks, enrichment games, and basic training during these visits. These midday visits are perfect for puppies or dogs with work-from-home paw-rents in neighborhoods like Tower Grove, Lafayette Square, and beyond.

12:30 PM – Cat Sitting in Soulard

Mr. Whiskers is a Maine Coon with strong opinions and a strict napping schedule. Our cat sitting visits in St. Louis include feeding, litter scooping, and companionship—especially for kitties who prefer their alone time... but not too alone.

2:00–4:00 PM – Adventure Walks in Forest Park

Some of our pups need more than a sidewalk stroll! Our adventure dog walking services in St. Louis are ideal for high-energy breeds. Forest Park, Carondelet Park, and the River Des Peres Trail are a few of our go-tos for long, enriching walks.

5:00 PM – Wrap-Up

After a day full of paws and purrs, our walkers log visit reports, upload adorable photos, and send updates to clients.

Whether it's a rainy walk in The Hill or a cuddle session in Shaw, we’re proud to provide consistent, loving care that keeps pets and their people happy.

"Being a sitter for House of Paws means being part of a family, getting to love on and care for many critters daily, and above all getting to be a part of a business that truly appreciates and supports their employees." - Brooke F.
