What We’re Working Toward in 2026!

After a record-breaking year in 2025, House of Paws Pet Care is entering 2026 with big goals, bold energy, and the same heart-led commitment to St. Louis pets and their people.

We’re proud to be your trusted team for dog walking, cat sitting, and professional in-home pet care and this year, we’re growing with even more purpose. Here’s a closer look at what we’re aiming for (and how it benefits our clients and community):

1. More Consistency = More Peace of Mind

One of our biggest goals in 2026 is to increase the number of recurring schedule clients—those with regular, ongoing service plans.

Why? Because pets thrive on routine. Whether it's a daily dog walk or midday potty break, consistent care reduces stress, improves behavior, and supports better health for dogs and cats alike.

For pet parents, recurring visits also mean:

  • Less scheduling stress

  • A reliable care plan you don’t have to think twice about

  • Peace of mind knowing your pets are always covered

2. Growing Our Pack: More Staff, Same High Standards

As demand grows, so does our team! In 2025, we operated with a team of 28 dedicated pet pros. In 2026, we’re aiming to expand to 35 trained pet care specialists, so we can better serve our current clients and reach even more neighborhoods across the St. Louis area.

Each new hire undergoes thorough training and background checks because our promise is quality, no matter how big we grow.

3. Investing in Our Pros = Better Care for Your Pets

In 2026, we’re rolling out paid continuing education for our team. This means our dog walkers, cat sitters, and pet care specialists will receive updated training throughout the year—on everything from fear-free handling techniques to senior pet care.

Why it matters:

✅ More knowledgeable staff

✅ Safer, more enriching visits

✅ A stronger standard of care across every service

We're not just growing, we’re growing smarter.

4. 20,000 Visits (Yes, Really!)

Last year, we set a goal to complete 15,000 pet care visits and ended the year with nearly 16,500!

So for 2026, we’re going even bigger:🎯 20,000 walks, potty breaks, and drop-ins across St. Louis.

That’s 20,000 moments of care, connection, and trust between our team and your beloved pets. Whether you need a quick potty break or a full-on midday adventure, we’re here for it.

5. Giving Back With Every Step

This year, we're dreaming up something new: a rescue partnership that brings adoptable dogs on sponsored adventure hikes.

The idea is simple: give shelter dogs a break from the kennel, exposure to potential adopters, and enrichment that supports their behavior and confidence. We’re still looking for the right rescue to collaborate with, so if you know an organization that shares this vision, send them our way!

6. 200 Five-Star Reviews? Let’s Go.

In 2025, we set a goal to hit 80 Google reviews. By year-end, we had over 100 five-star reviews from our amazing clients. 💛 In 2026, we’re setting our sights on 200 reviews, not just for bragging rights, but because every review helps another STL pet parent find safe, trusted care for their furry family members.

What This Means for You

Whether you're already a House of Paws client or just getting to know us, our 2026 goals are built around serving you better:

  • More availability

  • More consistency

  • Better-trained pet pros

  • A stronger impact in our community

We’re here to raise the standard of pet care in St. Louis and we’re honored to grow alongside you.
